Macrofungi of urban Tilia avenues and gardens in Hungary

Macrofungal investigations were performed in gardens and avenues planted with Tilia spp. between 2009 2020 Hungary, focusing on the Budapest area. Lime tree (Tilia) is recently one of most favorable commonly used ectomycorrhizal urban landscaping Budapest, similarly to other European cities. As a result 71 sampling occasions total 60 epigeous hypogeous macrofungal species belonging 22 families 33 genera documented. The nrDNA ITS barcoding region 56 specimens was sequenced. Fifty-nine identified, while interesting Inocybe sp. could not be determined. Phylogenetic analyses frequently collected family, Inocybaceae, including three 17 performed. Russula Tomentella, two preferred symbionts environments also analyzed. alluvionis, I. amelandica, Mallocybe siciliana Pseudosperma aureocitrinum reported for first time from Hungary. taxonomic status discussed.
